Link between router and switch does not pass traffic though in up state.

the Ethernet link between the router(7200) and switch(c5500) was in an up state but no traffic was passing over the link. When the link was disconnected and reconnected the traffic started to flow again and the network came back up.

This is not the first time this occurred. Thsi has coccureed on many times on many different devices (same model 7200 but different version of IOS)

Has anyone come across this kind of issue anytime?

Please let me know if you have ever solved this kind of issue.

Hi usman

Have you checked the logs on both the router and the switch ?

Are you able to see any error logs inline to the traffic block.

Hi,

There is nothing revealed in the logs. Also the show tech that we have captured is after the link was disconnected and reconnected.
