3550 Error - Non-free molecules were seen on the notify ring

Has anyone come across the following error message when trying to boot up a WS-C3550-24-EMI? Can this be repaired or is it probably not worth the hastle?

Main error returns

"!!! WARNING: The switch is not usable !!!

Reason:

Non-free molecules were seen on the notify ring."

Hi.

I've just done a Google search on your error. It seems a few ppl have come across this error before, all resulted in hardware replacement.

Whenever you get the switch is not usuable message get it rma'd.
