IOS K9 option

Hi,

I'm in process of enabling SSH at Cisco routers 1841, 2801, 2811, and Catalyst switches 3560.

Now all of these devices have ip base IOS but without K9 (security option).

My question, is there a technique to enable the K9 without downloading and installing the same IOS file with k9?

No, you have to download the IP Base with Crypto.

Unfortunately not. You will have to "upgrade" the IOS as would normally do.
