HSRP with 3 routers

Is it possible to have a third router in a HSRP configuration or works HSRP only with two routers ?

Yes it is possible to have three routers participating on a single HSRP instance.

Router 1

ip address 10.129.33.253 255.255.255.0

standby 108 ip 10.129.33.254

standby 108 priority 100

standby 108 preempt

Router 2

ip address 10.129.33.252 255.255.255.0

standby 108 ip 10.129.33.254

standby 108 priority 150

standby 108 preempt

Router 1

ip address 10.129.33.251 255.255.255.0

standby 108 ip 10.129.33.254

standby 108 priority 200

standby 108 preempt

Yes this is fine. Router1 will become the HSRP active and router2 will become the standby.
