I have an ASA5505 (ASA version 8.0(4) ASDM version 6.1(3)) that I have setup and working using LDAP for authentication. What I'm trying to find out is if I can set an account up that uses the local database for authentication. We had a situation this weekend where our LDAP died and the ASA couldn't authenticate so our server support folks couldn't VPN in to look at the problem. So what I'd like to do is to setup an "emergency" account that uses the ASA's local database for authentication instead of LDAP so they can connect.

But there are any way to setup an account to authenticate always LOCAL, not matter if LDAP is working or not?
