3550-12g will not boot ios

trying to load the c-3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-25.sed.bin. It will not load but gives a the 'switch' prompt. What are my options at this point?

I guess you're at the switch: prompt?

If so, try "dir flash:", you may need to run "flash_init" first.

You should then see the available images (if any).

Has the switch recently been upgraded? If so there may be a boot statement pointing to the previous image.

Use "set" and check that the BOOT= either matches the image you are trying load or is blank.
