Solved: NSE-150 Gigabitethernet Interface

This port is set to negotation auto. Will it negotiate 100 Mbps if the other end is a FastEthernet interface? The NSE gig0 port will connect to a 7206 100M interface

No, it won't.

According to the Data Sheet:

This product only support these SFP GBICs:

Hello Carol,

speed isn't the only parameter that can be negotiated on a GE link: for example there is flow control.

the rule of thumb is the following: if the port uses GBICs of any type the speed is fixed to 1000 Mbps, if the port has its own RJ-45 connector it can be 10/100/1000.
