Access List and ASA Version 7.2

The line numbers associated with the access-list that I want to modify are in consecutive order with no gaps. If I enter a line number that already exists to insert a new Access Control Entry, will it overwrite what is already on that line number or will the numbers be resequenced or will it not accept it at all?

It will resequence it, with your new line going above the existing line.

Thank you!

Jon,

If your still there....

Can I remove an Access Control Entry by using a line/sequence number also?

Yes you can. This is one of the really nice things about Pix/ASA access-lists.

Jon

Thanks again!
