Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10054. FTP ASA

hi,

i have configured FTP server in DMZ zone of the ASA server. i have two public ip addresses a.b.c.d and e.f.g.h when i configured FTP with a.b.c.d it works fine for the inside users and internet users, but when i configured it with e.f.g.h it worked for the inside users but outside users get error message "Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10054."

My FTP server is LINUX based and is not managed by me

Hi

e.f.g.h is your ASA External Interface ip.so you cannot able to use that ip in your FTP Server( Static NAT).

static (DMZ,outside) a.b.c.d 10.5.0.5 netmask 255.255.255.255

the above line is your Static NAT of FTP Server.

hi,

sorry that was typing error actually , it was r.s.t.u ip , one thing more when i change static mapping do i need to clear xlate table, may be it was causing problem.
