Solved: Change Telnet Port on Catalyst 4506

I try to change the standard telnet port 23 to other one, for example to the 9023.

As a work aound, I have use an ACL to deny the port 23 on WAN Interface and a port over rotary command on line vt 0- 15.

Is it posible to change the telnet port 23 nr. in a easy and directly way.

Hello Sueleyman, It looks like there is no way to change it to arbitary port. I assume you doing this for security reasons? Much better and secure to use ssh to manage the switch and disable 23 telnet transport on the vty. However your IOS image must support that.

Unfortunately, all our switches do not support SSH.
