How to stop the disabling of Cisco Secure Services Client

Hi,

Not sure if anyone has the answer to this. We have deployed an 802.1x solution and Cisco Secure Services Client to most desktops. ( at present 4.1.2 but I have also tested version 5.x ). We are making a client re-distributable pack - in other words pre-configuring the networks and locking the client down "<clientUIType>preset</clientUIType>". The issue we are having is that the client still has the available option to a user to "disable the client" all together from a menu option. Has anyone found how to remove this option to a user so they can not disable the client. Thanks in advance.

Most of the times disabling/enabling the client is enough to restore the regular (authenticated) connection. There is no difference doing it in the system icon or the main window.

enable/disable client (either from the system icon or the main

window)

-this is usually enough to restore the regular network connection.

-if fails, repeat enable/disable client.

-if fails again, stop/start the service in Administrative Tools \

Services.

--- In some rare situations even after this the client fails to connect.

The only solution left is a reboot...
