License ASA5510-sec-bun-k9 with a k8 image

Hello,

My company buyed an ASA5510-sec-bun-k9

but when I do show ver I have this output : asa707-k8.bin

I am very surprised, I have to use PAK ?

or I have to upgrade the image?

Licensed features for this platform:

Maximum Physical Interfaces : Unlimited

Maximum VLANs : 25

Inside Hosts : Unlimited

Failover : Active/Standby

VPN-DES : Enabled

VPN-3DES-AES : Enabled

Security Contexts : 0

GTP/GPRS : Disabled

VPN Peers : 150

This platform has an ASA 5510 Security Plus license.

I believe that you are ok and do not need to do anything. It is perhaps confusing but there appears to be a difference between k8 and k9 in the licensing (k8 gets DES but not 3DES/AES while k9 gets 3DES/AES) and you have the k9 license (since 3DES/AES is enabled). However in the software there is only the k8 image file. I checked in the software download pages on the Cisco web site and there are no k9 images listed, only k8 images.

So I believe that your company received what it purchased and there is no need to do anything special.

Is not supposed to have 250 VPN Peers? and the interfaces should be 2GE 3 FE ?

I have the same part number as proteksa2006 with same versions OTB
