I pulled four ethernet cables between two offices to tie in new office space. I have a Cisco PoE 3560 and a 2950 switch in the new office, and the same in the main office. The 3560s are for VoIP and the 2950s are for data.
Currently, only a single cable is being used to tie each switch to its respective partner. (I pulled the extra two lines in case of failure.) But, I hear that you can bond two ethernet cables one a switch and double the transmission rate. Is this true? Can I have the two pulls work in sync and have two 100Mb connections work in tandom?
I have searched around and not seen this documented anyplace. Thanks in advance.
