What is the DNS on the Email server?

Check if it the ISP DNS or local DNS you are using?

if you are using seperate smtp and POP3 servers then use local dns ip or host file entry for your domain on the smtp server.

Also depending on the smtp server config you can define that all mails for ur domain is delivered to your pop3 ip.
