BPDU Guard

If BPDU guard is enabled globally, then BPDU guard is disabled on a specific port, does this cause BPDU guard to no longer be globally enabled for the rest of the ports? In CatOS, hybrid, or Native. Thanks

If you enable BPDUGuard globally, it will be enabled on switchports with portfast enabled.

You can disable BPDUGuard on a specific switchport but this won't affect the rest of the switchports that are configured for BPDUGuard.

You can override the spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default global configuration command by

using the spanning-tree bdpuguard interface configuration command.

So if you disable for specific interface, it will not disable globally.

Thanks for the replies. So BPDU Guard enabled globally can be overridden by the port's config if it disables BPDU Guard, but that doesn't affect the other ports. That makes sense. And this should hold true regardless of CatOS, Native, or Hybrid, right?
