In order to made upgrade to a version 5 in a WLC 4402, we find that this software release 5.0 is greather than 32 MB. So, how can we do if the WLC flash is 8MB only????.

Hi Ladislav,

Check out these notes;

The TFTP server must support file transfers larger than 32 MB. Version 3.0 or later of Tftpd32 is recommended. If your TFTP server software does not support file transfers larger than 32 MB, then the upgrade does not complete (see the Troubleshoot section for symptoms). Note that several popular TFTP server software packages do not support file transfers larger than 32 MB.

This is detailed nicely by John in this thread;

Hope this helps!

Rob

PS: Don't forget to post these in the Wireless Forums :)

I'm already did that, But the Wireless LAN Controller Flash only support 8 MB !!! And the software version 5 release is more than 32 MB. That's my problem.
