Ipv6 - Ping interface

Hi there,

I've configured two routers connected through fastethernet interface with an ipv6 address, however I can't ping each other although interfaces are up.

P1R4#sh ipv6 int brief

FastEthernet0/6 [up/up]

FE80::212:43FF:FEE3:C600

2001:410:1:2:212:43FF:FEE3:C600

P1R2#sh ipv6 int brief

ATM0 [administratively down/down]

unassigned

FastEthernet0 [up/up]

FE80::213:C3FF:FE30:8B09

2001:410:1:2:213:C3FF:FE30:8B09

P1R2#ping ipv6 2001:410:1:2:212:43FF:FEE3:C600

Type escape sequence to abort.

Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 2001:410:1:2:212:43FF:FEE3:C600, timeout is 2 seconds:

.....

Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)

P1R2#

Anyone knows why I can't ping it?

Thanks

Hello.

Any luck when trying to ping the link local addresses (it will make you input the interface)

Also, can the router see each other with CDP?

Simon
