QOS issues Cisco 3400-12CS

Hi,

Can someone explain why this simple policy is not working? My understanding is that all ingress traffic from interface G0/9 should get marked down to dscp af31.

Policy Map test

Class class-default

set dscp af31

interface GigabitEthernet0/9

switchport access vlan 296

media-type rj45

service-policy input test

end

have u entered mls qos on the global config mode?

also try this command if u wanna mark all traffic:

interface GigabitEthernet0/9

mls qos cos 3

or

interface GigabitEthernet0/9

mls qos dscp af31

then do

show mls qos interface GigabitEthernet0/9

and look at

default COS:

mls commands are not available on 3400 platform.

The same policy applied on a 3400-24TS model works well. This issues appears only on the 3400-12CS model, and only if the port is set in access mode.

any idea why?
