I plugged my laptop into our core switch which is a 3Com and that is uplinked to our cisco 2801. We have 2 fiber uplinks off the 3com. I can ping other machines on that switch when the uplinks are not plugged into it but when the fiber uplinks are added, I get sporatic ping results. 3Com is pointing fingers at the cisco router but the traffic shouldnt even hit that if the devices are on the same switch. Any ideas?
