VLAN problem with Router 800 model

Hello,

i have a Cisco Router 800 model with a HWIC4ESW modul and a built-in FA0 port. Config is looking as follows (just a snapshot):

------------------

interface fa0/0

ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0

interface fa1

interface fa2

interface fa3

interface fa4

interface vlan 1

ip address 20.20.20.1 255.255.255.0

---------------------------

A host (20.20.20.5) that is connected to fa1 (vlan1) can reach all IPs via ping.

If i try to ping 20.20.20.5 from the router itself or from a host in the 10.10.10.0/24 network, it's not working.

Does anybody know why?

I'm kinda puzzled and would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi,

Are you running a firewall on the host?Trend-micro for example will block pings to the host.If you are running a firewall -turn it off and try your ping from the router again.

Cheers

Chris
