7905 Message Waiting Light - no voice mail

Unity 4.2(1)

7905 Phone

We have one 7905 phone that has it's message waiting light on...but no voicemail is set up for this extension, so there's nothing in Unity, and no voice mail profile in Call Manager.

Resetting the phone doesn't turn it off.

What can be done to get the light to go off?

just dial the MWI DN number off

which u can find the number at :

From within CCMAdmin, select Feature>Voice Mail>Message Waiting

search for mwi off

when u dial it from any phon should switch off

and check if there is another subsecribure number on unity has configured to light that phone for extra check

Ocassionally if you reset the phone from the GUI it will take care of the stuck MWI light.
