PIX-515E keep rebooting. - Checksum verification on compression loader fail

Error message before it reboots:

imgsum_verify: chksum(0x0 ) md5(0x64c4763c 0xbf586c3c 0x2501ccdb 0x0dbbe88a)

Checksum verification on compression loader failed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Most probably the image got corrupted, you should perform a software image recovery using rommon.

I already tried that. I think I am having a hardware issue here. The flash might have gone bad. Unfortunately there is no smartnet on this unit since we thought about decommissioning it. I think its time to dump it all together in favor of an ASA unit.
