Hi there,
I am trying to find a two switches (for redundancy) to suit a VMware ESX environment with three servers and an iSCSI SAN. Each server has 6 gigabit connections and the iSCSI SAN 4 so total of 22 ports. Ideally I'd like 2x 16 port gigabit switches to deal with this scenario. What are my options please?

Dude !!!
If it R&D setup or production setup follow below guidelines..
1.To connect your hosts in iSCSI, always use GigabitEthernet ports.
2.You can go for Unmanaged switches like Netgear/Dlink.
3.If you want managed switch then use
Cisco Catalyst 2960G-24TC-L
Cisco Catalyst 2960G-48-TC-L
with LAN Base image, as you won't require any configuration.
4.IMP , do not connect iSCSI switch to your production/regular/core network, as it will have lot of broadcasts.
5.Make sure the IP addresses you are using are not used in your production network.

Cheers mate.
Its going to be for production. The servers will be on the main lan on these switches and the iSCSI in a separate VLAN to not have the broadcasts be a problem - does that make sense?

Even that should work!!!
But HOPE you are not trunking iSCSI vlan, out of switch.
