Hello All,

I have a bit strange situation. Port channel interface has only 1 member, G1/0/3, but the bandwidth displays 2 Gbit. In addition, if I add one more member interface, the bandwidth becomes 3 Gbit. Does anyone have any ideas? What has happened there?

#sh int port-channel 12

Port-channel12 is up, line protocol is up (connected)

Hardware is EtherChannel, address is 001d.70b9.2383 (bia 001d.70b9.2383)

Description: <<<< SA >>>>

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 2000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is unknown

Media-type configured as connector

input flow-control is off, output flow-control is unsupported

Members in this channel: Gi1/0/3

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

Last input 00:01:54, output 00:00:00, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters never

Thanks,

Nitass

Probably a cosmetic anomaly (read bug) with the IOS . Also check channel with the show etherchannel summary and make sure it only sees one interface in the channel .

Actually, there are 5 port channel interfaces but only one interface has this problem. The others seem to be Ok.

Regarding the IOS, it is running 12.2(35)SE5.

Thanks,

Nitass
