I registered 3 SIP phones (linksys)in a CME 4.0 but when I have a call in linksys phone and then put in hold any call I don't listen the music of MOH from the flash.

As far as I know there must be another source for the MOH for linksys phone but I don't know how to set ?

any reference?

Hi Filiberto,

I think that you require at least CME 4.1 to support MOH on SIP Phones;

Music on Hold for SIP Phones

In Cisco Unified CME 4.1 and later versions, the MOH feature is supported when a call is put on hold from a SIP phone and when the user of a SIP phone is put on hold by a SIP, SCCP, or POTS endpoint. The holder (party that pressed the hold key) or holdee (party who is put on hold) can be on the same Cisco Unified CME or a different Cisco Unified CME connected through a SIP trunk. MOH is also supported for call transfers and conferencing, with or without a transcoding device.

Configuring MOH for SIP phones is the same as configuring MOH for SCCP phones. For configuration information, see

Hope this helps!

Rob

Hi Rob

I have already carried out some test with linksys's phone registerd in CME 4.2 I have the following issues

a) when the holder is a cisco IP phone and the holdee is a linksys phone, MOH works fine

b) when the holder is a linksys phone and the holdee is a cisco IP phone, MOH is not listen.

c) when the holder and holdee are linksys phone I just listen a beep tone.

By another hand I set the option of moh in telephony service

telephony-service

moh music-on-hold.au

multicast moh 239.10.16.4 port 2000

I don't know if I have to set something else in linksys phone so that it works fine MOH in all the scenarios.
