traffic through VPN slow

I have a PIX to PIX site to site VPN when I try to copy a file from the internect the 60 meg file takes maybe a minute but the same file through the tunnel takes 17 minutes. The tunnels look fine. Internet connections on both sites can copy that same file from the Internet around the same time but between then it is a PIG slow.

Hi Bob,

This could be a fragmentation issue.

Try to adjust TCP MSS value on PIX if your vpn end device is PIX .

sysopt connection tcp-mss MSS_size_in_bytes

example : sysopt connection tcp-mss 1300
