Hello, I have several ASA 5505 boxes running with 256 MB RAM. In one of these, the show version command says:
Hardware: ASA5505, 210 MB RAM, CPU Geode 500 MHz
Where did the missing 46 MB RAM go?
All other boxes show as expected:
Hardware: ASA5505, 256 MB RAM, CPU Geode 500 MHz
Thanks in advance

Edi, it could be a software bug, a way to realy find out look at the version code that paticualr asa is running and look in bug tool database..
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/index.html
Are the other ASA5505's running the sme code as the one showing 210 ram.

hi,
This is a bug.I do not have the bug id handy but I have came across this before. An upgrade would resolve this. It's cosmetic and would not hinder the actual working of the device.

Thank you, this has fixed the problem.
All the other boxes have 8.0(3), this one had 8.0(3)6. After upgrade to 8.0(4) the memory is reported correctly as 256 MB.
