This may seem a little off-topic, but I'm using Solarwinds to map ports on my 3750 and I'm getting discrepancies. Solarwinds will say something is connected and give me a MAC address, but then I look at the switch using sh mac-address-table inter (whatever), and it says that NOTHING is connected.
I'm leaning toward trusting the switch more, but not sure. Oh, and it's not as simple as tracing the cable. I have a LOT of these ports with solarwinds saying there's something there and Cisco saying there's not, and vice-versa. Does anyone use anything else to map these ports that seem to be more reliable?
Thanks!
John
