2710 Location Appliance

Just received our 2710 appliance. Updated it to 5.1.30. Our WCS server is running 5.1.64.

I enabled https. Does that allow https access to the appliance? The default port was 8001. I can't get anything to come up in my borwser. I tried adding :8001 to the end of the url. I was able to run setup from CLI.

THe 5.1 setup wizard allows you to change the WCS password used to talk to the 2710. The wizard doesn't say anything about user name. I used admin on the WCS page for the 2710. WCS seems able to talk to the 2710.

You need the WCS to communicate with the LA. You can't https to the device to manage it. Seems like you have successfully added the LA to WCS.

I can view the LA from WCS. Is there a way from the WCS to view/change information that was entered during the CLI setup wizard on the LA. Like the NTP settings. Or do you have to run the wizard again from the LA CLI. Not seeing that information so I assume no.

You can ash or telnet if you allowed it. Or just consolebinto the LA. Don't know the commands off hand, just search for location appliance 2700 configuration guide. This will have the Linux command you can run.
