Hello,
I tried to set up the CUE functionality on the 520 series router. There is apropriate interface for the CUE:
interface Integrated-Service-Engine0/0
ip unnumbered Loopback0
ip nat inside
ip virtual-reassembly
service-module ip address 10.1.10.1 255.255.255.252
service-module ip default-gateway 10.1.10.2
there is static route:
ip route 10.1.10.1 255.255.255.255 Integrated-Service-Engine0/0
dial peer with the pilot number:
dial-peer voice 4000 voip
destination-pattern 4000
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.1.10.1
codec g711alaw
no vad
MWI on/off:
ephone-dn 3
number 8001...
mwi off/on
telephony-service
voicemail 4000
voice service voip
allow-connections h323-sip
then I logged to CUE with:
service-module integrated-Service-Engine 0/0 session
There I have:
ccn trigger sip phonenumber 4000
application "voicemail"
enabled
maxsessions 4
end trigger
username gpilat create
username gpilat phonenumber "201"
voicemail mailbox owner gpilat
and then forwarded on CME my 201 phone to 4000 (cue pilot number).
However I am getting busy signal. I tried to do some debugging but with no luck. SIP messages look OK between CME and CUE. Seems I am doing sth. wrong.
Please help,
best regards,
Goran Pilat

Hi Goran,
Please include the following under the dial peer:
dtmf-relay sip-notify
codec g711ulaw
See what happens when you dial 4000

Hi Goran, when you dial 4000 from an IP phone what do you get? Can you access CUE? If not go to the web interface of the CUE and run the initial configuration. Then you have to synchronise the CCME and CUE configuration. The configuration you have posted above looks OK.

Hi Chandrasen!
Thanks for the fast answer. When I call 4000 from the IP phone, I also get busy signal. I did the initial configuration before and when I try to sync it says there is nothing found to sync.
Ideas? anything significant to trace?
thanks,
goran

Do you mind posting the output of the following debugs while placing the test call:
1. debug voip ccapi inout
2. debug ccsip messages
Regards,
Michael.

Hi!
Thanks a lot, that was it. I had to change the codec to ulaw.
Thanks again and regards

Hi!
I tried to integrate CUE/CME into provider's IP network whose softswitch supports only A-law. So now I cannot reach voicemail from the PSTN numbers (voicemail from IP phones works fine). Is it possible to change CUE from u-law to A-law? I also read that CME should switch between these two codecs with no further config, but this doesn't happen, CUE is unreachable.
best regards,
