Hi Team

one quick question, can i have a combination of the 3750E and 3750G in one stack, am thinking of having the 3750E as the master stack then the rest will be 3750G's.

Thanks

Tau

Yes you can mix 3750 and 3750-E switches in the same stack but they will have to use Stackwise rather than StackwisePlus.

See 3750-E Q&A for more details.

Hi

AFAIK you can have both the switch in the stack without any problems.

Still would suggest to have necessary precautions taken while putting both 3750E and 3750G switches on Stack mode.

The mixed stack runs at the original Stack Wise speed - 32Gbps.

Certain 3750-E features cannot be enabled in a mixed stack.

A 3750 can not join a 3750-E stack if it does not support 3750-E features already in use.

Port level features do not affect processing on a 3750.

System level features can affect the processing 3750.

A “feature mismatch” state occurs when a system level feature is being used in a stack which is not supported by a newly added Catalyst 3750.

Yes, make sure to have the same IOS revision levels on both. You can have different feature sets as long as revisions match.
