OSPF Lsu Rate

Hi,

I have an issue with 3 router on a broadcast environment. It seems that the rate of LSU message is very high : Monitoring the lan with Wireshark I can see a 300kbps flow of Network-LSA exchange whereas the network is stable and no links are flapping. The advertisement are always for the same link-id.

What could be the cause of such a flooding in a stable network ?

Morgan,

Bear in mind that all routers will refresh their own LSAs every 30 minutes or so. The maximum age for any given LSA is 60 minutes (3600 seconds) and the LSA needs to be refreshed within that range.
