I have a 3845 with a 48 port ES , I am able to you use the service-module gig2/0 session I am able to access the card. What I am trying to do is access it through the backplan. My question is shouldn't I be able to configure the card from the router prompt once the card is connected to the backplan, to utilize the backplan speed?

When I do a service-module status on the switch it gives me

lchar02ports\par#sh service-module status

Service Module is in STEADY state

Service Module target interface is GigabitEthernet1/0/4

Interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3 is connected to BACKPLANE

seems to be working ok? when i jump to the router CISCO tells me to connect them using ;router(config)# connect himi module g2/0 0 module g0/0 0 , but the router never give me the module option?

any ideas?

I have this problem too.
