R2 to SS7

Please, We need to migrate from r2 to ss7, can help me with some configuration in the AS54xx, the PGW we already have ready.

I have the following configuration in AS53xx:

controller E1 0

framing NO-CRC4

clock source line primary

ds0-group 4 timeslots 3-6 type r2-digital r2-compelled ani

you need to have some information before you configure it. (this is just the most visible)


for PGW:

topology: is it a F-Link for example?

Your point code

Partner Point code for APC and for DPC

timeslot for the signaling link (supposing you use integrated SLT)

CICs available to be configured and how is the sequence to configure it in association with the timeslots?

what is the ISUP version?


for AS5400 (as an integrated SLT)

what is the timeslot for the signaling link?

how you want to group the E1s and how many are them?


Than you can study integrated SLT configuration documentation to prepare this config, but it is a complex job to do in the first time.


it depend on many things.

AS54xx is only Gateway: attachment the configuration, the rlm group is up;

The message en PGW is:

"mss1masig:CIC=1,PST=OOS,CALL=IDLE,BLK=MATE_UNAVAIL"

"mss1masig:CIC=2,PST=OOS,CALL=IDLE,BLK=MATE_UNAVAIL"

"mss1masig:CIC=3,PST=OOS,CALL=IDLE,BLK=MATE_UNAVAIL"

"mss1masig:CIC=4,PST=OOS,CALL=IDLE,BLK=MATE_UNAVAIL"

any suggestions?

the signaling link is up and running? is it in a separated SLT?


meanwhile:


check if RLM port is 3000/3001 at PGW config file. if not, in the rlm config, you need to add:

rlm group 1

protocol rlm port xxx

where xxx is the port to communicate. if it is 3003 at PGW, xxx will be 3002.


add global config parameter:

isdn switch-type primary-ni


can you change controller 6/0 to this configuration:


controller E1 6/0

framing NO-CRC4

pri-group timeslots 1-31 nfas_d primary nfas_int 0 nfas_group 0 rlm-group 1


this will create a dchanel:

interface Dchannel6/0

no ip address

encapsulation hdlc

isdn timer T310 60000

isdn incoming-voice modem

no isdn send-status-enquiry

isdn send-alerting

isdn negotiate-bchan resend-setup

isdn bchan-number-order ascending

no cdp enable
