7301 Router %Error in authentication

When I try and go into enable mode I enter the password and I get %Error in authentication. Any thoughts? I was in the router eailier and used the same password as I am now and it worked no problem.

You may have to reset it. What was the last thing you did it it, and are you consoled or terminaled into it?

Oh, and I meant reset the password on the router if you can't get into it.

I tried both telnet and console both with the same results. The last thing I did was to show int and show run....I did not change or save anything.

That's weird. You may have to reset the password through a console connection.
