IP addressing

Hi

we need to assign Ip address to our remote offices.

we got the

NW devices range in 10.72.X.X and Servers range 10.32.X.X at the Data center.

we have MPLS connecting the data center with remote offices.we decide to have 10.64.X.X range for other locations with max 254 hosts.

My question is

can we go ahead and assign this range to offices and any good suggestions for the same.

Hello Sam,

I suppose you have L3 links over MPLS from datacenter to remote offices with one router on each branch.

So:

allocate N /30 subnets from 10.64.254.0/24

allocate N /24 of type 10.64.I.0/24 with I = 1 to N

these will be the LAN subnets on each remote site.

if the MPLS service is instead a multipoint service use the 10.64.254.0/24 as a single subnet to connect to remote routers

Hi Giuseppe (got it right this time)

I have 10.70.X.X segment for WAN side.

I decide to go with 10.64.x.x for LAN segment at remote offices.and i plan to use the Area code for that location as the 3rd Octet in subnet.

as i told u in earlier post,i have the DHCP servers on 10.32.84.x.This wil provide the IP's for remote desks.all these IP's wil be advertised in mpls cloud.

i need to get it confirmed again whether this is workable and if have any suggestions from your experience.
