In theory, allows you to build one logical link that has the combined bandwidth of the bounded physical links. So, dual T-1s would perform much like a single 3 Mbps link. (Similar concept as EthernetChannels.)

For Multilink PPP (aka MLPPP aka MPPP aka MLP)

1. You can use LFI. That is you can fragment and interleave packets.

2. You can bundle links in a way you desire.

3. Logical management - one spot for all the config.
