Hi,
I have upgraded Cisco 1131AG-E-K9 AP to LWAPP image. The AP has recieved ip from DHCP server and broadcasts LWAPP discovery packages but my Wireless Lan Controller seems discarding them. I am recieving :
Sep 25 15:08:41.340 spam_lrad.c:1286 LWAPP-0-MSGTAG095: Discarding Discovery Request Packet from AP 00:1d:a1:ec:65:98
in the messege logs.
Thanks

Hi Murat,
Sadly, the WLC 526 only supports the LAP 521. No other AP Models (like the 1131) can be used in this solution. And vice versa the 521 will not work with other WLC Models like the 4400.
Q. Which access point products are included in the Cisco Mobility Express Solution?
A. Two Cisco 500 Series Wireless Express Access Point products are in the Cisco Mobility Express Solution; their part numbers follow:
⢠AIR-AP521G-x-K9 (standalone access point)
⢠AIR-LAP521G-x-K9 (controller-based access point)
The hardware for these products is the same. The products have different software, but the access points can be converted from standalone mode to the controller-based mode with a simple software upgrade.
As a core element of the Cisco Mobility Express Solution, the mobility controller is built to specifically support the Cisco 500 Series Wireless Express Access Points.

Hope this helps!
