Keepalive messages between CCM and IP Phone missed

What happen if the single keepalive message between CCM and IP phone is missed? will IP Phone reset? We have the keepalive setting of 30 seconds to primary CCM and 60 seconds to secondary CCM

no, phones will try to register to the next CUCM server or unregister if 3 keepalives are missed

Hi,

By Default, IP Phone sends the keepalive messages to the Primary CCM at every 30 seconds and expects a keepalive ack from the CCM.

If the phone missises 3 such keepalive acks continuously, it considers the primary ccm to be down and tries to register to the secondary server.

In your case sinle miss is not going to have any effect. 3 continuous misses will force the phone to re-register.
