Slow connection - Users complaning slow mail connection

Unanswered Question

I have a switch which has no access-list configured and there are no errors or packet drops on the trunk prots.

I can ping and traceroute to ther server with no delays.

I am try to find out how I can resolve this issue. As the users switch connects to the core and core has got connection to the Mail server.

I have also check the core and it fine.

Is their any debug commands that i could run to check the traffic utilization as IP accounting is not available on the 3750E switch.

Its probably a server issue but on the 3750E you can use the "show controllers utilization " command and this will give utilization for every port and for the switch fabric itself.

People on 7th Floor connected via 7th floor switch are working. Its only people on 6th Floor connected via 6th floor switch are having slow response.

The controller utilization is 0.

Couple of possibilities which need to investigate for this cause:

1. Port mismatching from distribution to access layer ( 6th floor )

2. The physical cable is being used for connection ( possibility fiber )

3. CRC error

4. Link Utilization , my be high due to some user chalking down the connection.
