Colubris Vs Cisco

Unanswered Question

I have a small application wher colubris are saying they switch traffic locally and maintain and support QoS whereas a typical WLC architecture tunnels all traffic via the WLC.

Colubris will switch traffic at the AP if bboth clients are on the AP.

The only way I can think of around this is to offer an HREAP solution even though traffic isnt traversing a WAN. Also if the clients are switched locally in the AP are QoS parameters still supported.

I am still reading through the HREAP docs.

I have this problem too.

AP forwards all client authentication requests to the controller and tunnels all client data to the WLC. This state is valid only when the H-REAP is in the connected mode. Any WLAN that is configured to operate in this mode is lost during WAN outage, no matter what the authentication method is uses in configuration settings.
