access lists

Hi all, I have configured many access lists, however, I see that you can use the "ip access-list" and access-list command, what is the difference between these, I almost always use the ip access list one, whats the other for?

same exactly but with one of them u can give it name

like

ip access-list extended myacl

enter

then u put the acl lines

but logicaly the same

In addition to using names instead of numbers of the access list the "ip access-list" command also allows you add and remove arbitrary entries using sequence numbers. The old "access-list" command always adds at the end.
