Cisco ACE license question

If a license is not installed on ACE how does the ace work? I mean the license should have a feature set? or is the license needed to do additional feature set? when I do show license I get a message no feature license installed

Ace is shipped with a default license installed. (4GB badwidth, 1k ssl transcations/sec & 5 virtual contexts).

You can see the license using following command.

ACE/Admin# show license status

Licensed Feature Count

------------------------------ -----

SSL transactions per second 1000

Virtualized contexts 5

Module bandwidth in Gbps 4

If you want to increase contexts/throughput/SSL transactions then you will need to buy additional licenses.

For example for additional SSL transactions/sec

ACE-SSL-XXK-K9 (where XX could be 05/10/15/20)

Or For Additional Virtual Contexts

ACE-VIRT-XXX (where xxx represent no of contexts and options are 20,50,100,250)
