Increase power output to 17 or 20 dBm not possible on AP 1131 AG

Hello all, hopefully someone out there can help me!

Why it's not possible to increase power output to 17 or 20 dBm on AP 1131 AG ?

(AIR-AP1131AG-E-K9) ETSI.

power local cck =

<1> One of: -1 2 5 8 11 14

maximum Set local power to allowed maximum

...but 14 dBm is only 25mW !!

Any idea ?

Hopefully, this will make sense to someone, and I will be really grateful for some clarification!

Thank you and best regards.

Seb

Hi Seb,

These restrictions are based on the Regulatory Domain (in your case "E");

This chapter lists the 1130 series autonomous access point (models: AIR-AP1131AG-x-K9 and AIR-AP1131G-x-K9) IEEE 802.11b/g (2.4-GHz) and the IEEE 802.11a (5-GHz) channels and maximum power levels supported by the world's regulatory domains.
