how to spare phone with another

Hi all, please do somebody have experience how to easily spare IP phone with another and somehow simply transfer phone configuration and his line on CCM to a new one? A cannot find way how to do it and its non-comfortable job to do it manually...thanks

Hi,

The easiest way to do this is copy the configuration. Depending on what version you are using, you should just have to click on "copy" and then transfer over the new MAC address.

Hi Thomas,

Just to add a note to the good tips from Tim (+5 points for this Tim :)

The simplest way to swap the config would be to go to the Device Configuration page for the phone that is to be replaced and just paste in the Mac of the replacement phone.

Dead 7941 - Mac AAABBBCCCDDD

New 7941 - Mac EEEBBBAAACCC

Go to Device>Phone>Find Device (find Device name contains AAABBBCCCDDD)

Replace Mac with new Mac EEEBBBAAACCC

Update>Reset (config is changed to new 7941 and your good to go!)

All Device and Line settings are transferred to new 7941.
