I have a 2800 series router with AIM-CUE installed. at first I was getting an error that "Service Module is trying to recover from error". So I reset the module and powered off the router using the RELOAD command. Evebtually it came back uo with a "Service Module is waiting for registration message" but I then received the following message "Trying to shutdown Service Module Service-Engine0/1" and it appears to have gone back into a failed state. Has anyone ver experienced this?

Can you send us the console output of the steps when it's going through various recovering states/reset etc?

Was this a new install or was it in production? Have you made any changes to the software (IOS) or configuration recently?

Thanks for the repsonse. I was able to fix the error but I had to RMA the AIM-CUE module. It works now.

If you could telnet to the AIM-CUE.

telnet router-ip cue-portnum

telnet 192.168.1.1 2033

You may have seen the following output.

The service-module service-engine 0/0 status on the output below states "Service module is wiating for registration message" or Service modules is failed".

Unfortunately the AIM-CUE I have with this problem isn't under RMA.
