3845 Outgoing Call Problem

Bri

Dear Experts,

Need you help with my router's capability to make call to ISDN PRI.

Before, Telco only provided 3 digits (1000 combination) and my config is working both incoming to outgoing.

But now that we changed it to 4 digit so I can map (one is to one) all my 4 digit extension to provided last 4 digit of the ISDN number.

The incoming calls are working without the need of Translation Rule, but no outgoing.

Attached is my config (along with info of "sh isdn service/stat, sh controller e1) and stat provided by Telco having the old setup and new setup which results to successful and unsuccessful results respectively.

They're saying that I don't have a proper number plan.

They're saying that they just change the 3 digits to 4 digits and so am I, but outgoing doesn't work.

I notice that state of D Channel is out of service, is it normal?

Kindly please analyze my attached info and would really appreciate anyone who can help me get the right config.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Brian

Try this to force the E1 to use the ISDN numbering plan that it was using before:

In the E1 seriel interface mode...

isdn map .* plan isdn type unknown

Don't know what caused this... Probably a configuration change on the Telco's side.

Thanks for the info, but same problem. Outgoing is not working.

Any other solution please?

Thanks

first as long as the ephon is registred to the same router CME

u dont need:

dial-peer voice 2000 voip

destination-pattern 2000

session target ipv4:10.9.254.111

!

second what this for ?

dial-peer voice 1473 voip

destination-pattern 1473

session target ipv4:10.10.254.1

if the call come to ur router as 2000 then the phone that rigistered to that router CME with number 2000 will ring directly

for outbound calls

make the following one:

dial-peer voice 701122000 pots

destination-pattern 2000

incoming called-number 2000

direct-inward-dial

port 1/0/0:15

as:

this is defualt incoming dial-peer

dial-peer voice 701122000 pots

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

port 1/0/0:15

the dial-peer voice 9 pots

has trnaslation that will trnaslte the calling number for EVERY call going out to 0701122000

if u want this number to work only with DN 2000 u can do it with out the translating like

ephone-dn 1 dual-line

number 2000 secondary 0701122000

if the call will come to ur CME as 2000 or 0701122000

the phone associated with DN 1 will answer

and make the dial-peer like:

dial-peer voice 9 pots

destination-pattern 9[0-9].........

port 1/0/0:15

forward-digits 10

try it and let me know

Hi Marwanshawi,

Thanks for the info.

Yes the 2000 is an extension directly connected to the router.

The 1473 is to another router.

I'll try what you said then I'll reply asap if it works...and of course..the rate. :)

Thanks again.

Brian
