CME Accounting Code (Acct Softkey)

Unanswered Question
Oct 1st, 2008

I am using the Acct code on CME 4.3. Where can I report on these accounting codes? The call history in CME doesn't show them. Do I need to pump them to an outside server via syslog or Radius accounting somehow?

Can someone let me know and can you give me specific options as to software if that's what is required?

I have this problem too.

Hi Justin,

I have not used these but I thought that this might help get you started :)

Using Account Codes for Billing

Cisco Unified CME provides account code support into CDRs, which a RADIUS server or customer billing server then can use for the billing process. The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7960 and Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940 both support an account softkey so that users can enter an account code from an IP phone during the call ringing (alerting) or active (connected) states. This account code is also added to the Cisco-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB SNMP MIB.

You can view the Account Code field in the show call active voice log, as shown in Example 14-41.

Router# show call active voice

Telephony call-legs: 2

SIP call-legs: 0

H.323 call-legs: 0

MGCP call-legs: 0

Total call-legs: 2

SetupTime=97147870 ms

AccountCode 1234

From the CME SRND Guide;

You might want to look into Cisco Partner "Stonevoice" that has a nice application;

Hope this helps!

that's good info, thanks. Does anyone else have anything else to add. Maybe a quick way to print out the calls for reference?
