Minimum OER IOS

Do any of the mainline IOS versions support OER? Feature navigator seems to indicate that 12.4(21) supports it. Is this true? We are wanting to implement OER on some 3845s. If we can use a mainline version we won't have to upgrade memory or flash. If we have to use a T train version, we will have to upgrade.

Thanks,

Greg

If you consider implementing OER in the 3845, I highly recommend upgrading the memory and flash and go with the T train.

While the 12.4(21) may support some features within OER, you will find that new features are always incorporated into the service and they often make it to the T train first.

For the OER roadmap, please see:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_4t/oer/configuration/guide/h_oerrm.html

You will find how many features are added between T train releases that never make it to the mainline.

12.4 does support OER, but it might not be in the "Base" feature set or other feature sets.

12.4T supports PFR, (really OER v2). This too might require more than the "Base" feature set.

PS:

I run both OER and PFR but use the IP advanced services feature set.
