FAX support

Hai,

I am planning to migrate AVAYA to CCM 6.1. Now I am using one of extension as my FAX number. So the FAX comes through E1 line and terminate to my extenson.

How can I do this in Cisco Voice gateway & CCM and what is the recommended protocol(MGCP or h323?

I think MGCP suits better than H.323 because as compared to MGCP, H.323 requires more configuration on the gateway since the gateway must maintain the dial plan and route patterns

Hi,

Thanx, how do you address the issue of getting fax via E1 connected to the voice gateway.

Can I get from ATA or FXS? which would be possible?
